šÆļøStop, listen to Howard and Bruce š
Forgive me for being a couple of days late with my email as Iāve been consumed like the rest of you with family, food, and football.
Not that anyone particularly cares though I would note that Iāve had a very good make-believe NFL football year, whether through a season-long pool with my Uncle and his crew of retired de-generate gamblers, or our family fantasy football league and even my "big-money" league. Ā For those of you lucky enough to still care about football this weekend, I wish you luck.
Fantasy football is one of those things that I played for almost 25 years at this point and itās really not that much fun. What's fun is keeping a group of people together and enjoying something together.
Itās with that that I only have one recommendation this week. You have to go watch the Howard stern Bruce Springsteen interview for those who have HBO max or can get their hands on it.
Now, I wouldnāt consider myself a huge Bruce Springsteen fan, Iāve seen him live once and the energy he brings to each show venue city is unmatched. Bruce has never had an issue with being relatable. Itās his workingman's essence that draws so many to him. Heās been upfront about the grind, and some of his excesses through his Broadway show and books, but in my limited view, none like this interview.
His humility and awkwardness are so humanizing. Just a few takeaways. Ā
- He's comfortable talking about his work with his therapist.
- He wears hearing aids.
- He keeps everything all of his writing and awards in a warehouse, though he still seemed bitter about not winning "Best Album"
Give it a listen and let me know what you liked. Ā

Since so many of you just come for the tunes, I created a Spotify playlist that will feature at least 3 new songs per week. Ā This week I added a few pre-COVID tunes because after I heard them, it brought me back to that world that seems so far away.
Feel free to subscribe to that too :)
